(SIOUX CITY, IA) - A Sioux City man accused of beating his dog to death appeared in court Thursday morning.

Bobby Loggins is charged with Animal Torture and faces up to two years in prison and a $6,000 fine. He pleaded not guilty and told the judge he will hire his own attorney before a July pre-trial hearing.
