A southwest Iowa woman is dead after she drowned in swimming pool at a Sioux City motel Sunday.

Sioux City police say the body of 23-year-old Britney L. Ruhl of Griswold, Iowa was discovered in the pool around 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Motel 6 on on Harbor Drive. She was in town working with a road construction crew.

Officials are continuing the investigation of Ruhl's death.
