Sutherland, Iowa's police chief has been arrested for theft. 44-year-old David Johannsen was arrested two days ago.

According to the county sheriff, Johannsen allegedly stole 33 pigs and a water heater from property owned by Liberty Products in late 2007.

Johannsen is charged with second degree theft, third degree theft and conspiracy. He's been released from the O'Brien county jail on bond.
