South Sioux City is recognized for making business easier in their community. The National League of Cities gave South Sioux the Silver Award for Municipal Excellence. A $1,000 donation  will now be made to a non-profit of the city's choice. South Sioux was one of two cities it's size to get the award because city leaders helped make the Norm Waitt, Senior YMCA project a success. South Sioux City will also be recognized at the National League of Cities Conference in November.
