Young Siouxland professionals work to make a difference in our hometowns. The Sioux City Growth Organization, or GO gathers a new generation of leaders together hoping to spawn new ideas for the region.
Each year, Sioux City GO members set up visits with more experienced professionals. This round's focus rested on reality-based training.
Speaker Cy Wakeman said, "I really think that those under 40 get a bad rap, and they're very much misunderstood, and there's a lot of labels put out there, and in fact leaders are using a lot of excuses to not step up and lead a much more capable generation and a generation that has a lot to bring to the table."
Sioux City GO was founded in 2002 and invites any young professional that's interested to join their events.
