Jordan Furbee

Jordan joined KMEG 14/FOX 44 in September 2010 as a sports/news reporter and is currently the anchor of KMEG 14 Five o'clock Focus, FOX 44 News at Nine, and KMEG 14 News at Ten. He comes to Siouxland from Miami University (in Ohio!) where he graduated in May 2010 with a degree in Mass Communication. Go RedHawks!

During his time at Miami, Jordan wrote for the award winning student newspaper, The Miami Student. He covered various sports and news events and penned his own sports column, "Sports Blurbs with Furbs." He also was the sports anchor of the student produced news show RedHawk Report. Jordan interned with the sports department at WBNS-10TV in Columbus, Ohio and also did work with ESPN as their campus reporter during basketball seasons.

Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Jordan is a diehard Ohio State fan. One of his favorite Buckeye memories was a trip to Ann Arbor with his dad to watch the Buckeyes beat Michigan in 2005. When it comes to sports and Jordan, you name it, he played it; basketball, football, baseball, volleyball, track & field, soccer, and golf, which he won a state championship as a junior in high school.

Since coming to Siouxland, Jordan has covered such stories as the spring tornadoes that swept through Mapleton, Iowa, the Missouri River Flooding in 2010 and the GOP Presidential Candidate Debate in Sioux City. Some of his favorite interviews include, Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, Olympic Gold-Medalist Summer Sanders and FOX News Channel's Bret Baier.
