SIOUX CITY, IA -
More than 100 Sioux City dart players are hoping for a bullseye this weekend, playing in the 20th annual Midwest Dart Championship at the Sioux City Convention Center.
The tournament brings in hundreds of dart players from Lincoln to Fort Dodge, all throwing for cash prizes, and of course, some bragging rights.
The best thing about the game, promoters say, is that darts can be enjoyed by anyone.
"The thing I love about a dart tournament is anybody can do it, you don't have to be athletically gifted like a football star or anything else, anybody can come here and throw darts," says Dan Lane, League Director for River City Amusement. "We do divisions so that everybody gets to play against players of their own caliber."
The tournament is free to watch.
If you want to head out to see some darts, the competition continues Saturday at 10 AM, and finishes up on Sunday.
